The Emergency Committee of the Egyptian Committee continues its work by raising earthen berms around the displacement camps in the Gaza Strip, as part of a rapid emergency plan aimed at protecting these camps from drowning and from the danger of waves swallowing the tents of the displaced.
The committee is also working to establish dozens of new camps, including thousands of tents, to temporarily shelter afflicted families and provide them with the minimum level of protection and shelter.

From the first moment the rain fell and the camps were affected by the weather depression,
The Egyptian Committee began its immediate field action in response to the calls of the people and to alleviate the extent of the suffering that families faced in various regions of the Gaza Strip.
Over the past few days,
Egyptian crews worked non-stop to provide support and relief to the affected families, through:
●Distribution of new tents and rehabilitation of torn ones to ensure safe shelter against the cold and wind.
●Providing shelters and insulation materials to protect families from rainwater leakage inside the camps.
●Supporting the affected areas with the necessary supplies, and developing rapid response plans for the most affected cases.
