The major “Hearts Beyond Borders” relief campaign has been launched in Gaza City and the northern areas of the Gaza Strip, following the completion of previous distribution phases in the governorates of Rafah and Khan Younis. This new humanitarian step aims to reach the families most affected in areas suffering from extremely difficult living conditions.
This phase comes as an extension of a phased relief plan implemented according to carefully assessed field priorities. Relief operations were completed in the southern Gaza Strip before moving to Gaza City and the north, in response to the growing needs and the severe shortage of basic necessities in these areas.
Thousands of families in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip are enduring harsh humanitarian conditions due to widespread destruction, damaged homes, continued displacement, and acute shortages of food and water, along with the deterioration of essential services. These conditions have further exacerbated the suffering of residents, particularly children, the elderly, and patients.
The “Hearts Beyond Borders” campaign aims to alleviate this suffering by providing relief assistance that helps strengthen families’ resilience and ensures the minimum requirements for a dignified life, at a time when residents face daily challenges threatening their food and livelihood security.
Those overseeing the campaign affirmed that its expansion into Gaza City and northern Gaza reflects a clear humanitarian commitment to reaching all affected families without exception, and to working through field mechanisms that ensure rapid response and fair distribution, in line with the difficult reality faced by the population.
The “Hearts Beyond Borders” campaign is considered one of the largest ongoing relief initiatives, continuing its humanitarian interventions across various areas of the Gaza Strip in an effort to extend a helping hand to affected families and to reaffirm that humanitarian solidarity remains present despite the severity and prolonged nature of the crisis.
