The Egyptian Committee has begun implementing the broadest phase of the “Hearts Beyond Borders” campaign in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, in an unprecedented humanitarian intervention targeting all residents without exception. This comes amid extremely harsh humanitarian conditions, a severe shortage of basic necessities, and escalating suffering endured by thousands of families for many months.
This phase follows the complete conclusion of distribution operations in the southern governorates of the Strip, with a transition to Gaza City and the north in accordance with a precise field plan based on levels of need and population density, ensuring that assistance reaches the largest possible number of affected families.
The campaign is being carried out through 41 distribution points that have been approved and geographically distributed to cover various neighborhoods and areas, including shelters, camps, and the most severely affected locations. This step aims to facilitate residents’ access to aid, reduce the burden of travel and overcrowding, and ensure fairness in distribution.
The “Hearts Beyond Borders” campaign includes the distribution of large quantities of humanitarian assistance: 270,000 food and hygiene parcels containing essential items to meet families’ daily needs, alongside 270,000 bags of flour to support food security, in addition to 540,000 winter blankets in an effort to mitigate the effects of severe cold and protect children, the elderly, and the sick from its risks.
The Egyptian Committee emphasized that distribution is being conducted through organized and well-planned mechanisms, with the participation of field teams and volunteers, while respecting the human dignity of beneficiaries and ensuring that aid reaches those entitled to it in an orderly and transparent manner, free from complications or discrimination.
This intervention comes at a critically sensitive time, as families in Gaza City and the northern Strip are facing extremely harsh living conditions due to widespread destruction, damaged homes, shortages of food and water, and the lack of heating means—making these aid efforts a genuine lifeline for thousands of families confronting the daily risks of cold and hunger.
The Egyptian Committee affirmed that the “Hearts Beyond Borders” campaign reflects a continued humanitarian and moral commitment to stand by the people of the Strip and to sustain relief interventions within available capacities, in coordination with partners and supporters, with the aim of alleviating suffering and supporting the resilience of residents amid exceptional circumstances unprecedented in the area.
This humanitarian mobilization is considered one of the largest relief interventions currently underway, sending a clear message that humanitarian solidarity remains present, that the suffering of Gaza City and northern Gaza has not been forgotten, and that there are those working on the ground to reach people despite all challenges.
