As part of Egypt’s ongoing efforts to improve living conditions inside the shelter camps in northern Gaza, the Egyptian Committee announced the arrival of a new batch of mobile bathrooms to the designated areas for camp construction in Al-Maqousi, Al-17, and Halawa lands.
This step comes within an urgent plan to prepare the infrastructure and essential services in the new camps established by the Egyptian Committee to accommodate displaced families, in full coordination with local authorities and humanitarian organizations operating in the Strip.
Al-Maqousi land is considered one of the key areas north of Gaza City currently allocated for setting up camps under Egyptian engineering supervision, while Al-17 land is located to the west of the city near the coastal road, making it a strategic and easily accessible site for aid delivery. Meanwhile, Halawa land lies in the northwestern part and is currently being prepared to host a large number of families who have lost their homes.
The Egyptian Committee affirmed that the installation of mobile bathrooms represents a fundamental step toward improving health and environmental services within the camps, ensuring a more dignified and safe life for displaced persons. The Committee also noted that work continues at an accelerated pace to complete the remaining facilities in the coming days.
