As part of Egypt’s ongoing emergency relief efforts for the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian Committee for the Relief of the People of Gaza announced the establishment of a series of camps designated to shelter displaced families from northern and central areas of the Strip.
These camps aim to provide safe accommodation and essential services — including education, healthcare, and temporary housing — following the widespread destruction of infrastructure caused by military operations.
:Among the key details revealed by the Committee
More than 15 fully equipped camps have been established so far in southern and northern Gaza, featuring large spaces and ready-made tents
The camps include various services such as schools, medical clinics, water wells, bakeries, sewage systems, and furnished tents
By mid-October 2025, facilities were set up to shelter over 15,000 families, with several bakeries and medical centers now operating within the committee’s sites
The Committee emphasized that this initiative comes under the directives of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, reflecting
Egypt’s continued humanitarian support for the people of Gaza
The Predicament and the Need
Northern Gaza is facing dire humanitarian conditions following massive displacement and extensive damage to infrastructure, making the provision of shelter and essential daily services an urgent priority for displaced families.
In response, the Egyptian Committee is ensuring fair distribution standards and providing support to families who have lost their homes or were forced to flee.
