As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to support affected families in the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza, in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), has provided and distributed waterproof plastic tarpaulins to residents living in tents in northern Gaza. This initiative aims to protect them from rain and severe cold waves as the winter season approaches.
This initiative comes within an urgent plan to improve living conditions in temporary camps, where hundreds of families are facing difficult circumstances due to a lack of shelter and insulating materials.
The Egyptian Committee affirmed that this step is part of a series of measures aimed at alleviating the suffering of citizens and supporting relief efforts in cooperation with international organizations. UNICEF, for its part, expressed its appreciation for Egypt’s role in supporting affected families and providing essential needs for children and women during this critical period.
