Egyptian Committee Continues Preparations of the Netzarim Camp to Accommodate Affected Families

The Egyptian Committee continues to prepare the Netzarim camp in the Gaza Strip as part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts aimed at strengthening the shelter response and providing safe and dignified accommodation for displaced and affected families.
As part of the basic service infrastructure, a number of mobile sanitation units have arrived at the camp site, and work has begun to install and equip them. This step aims to improve health and environmental conditions within the camp and to provide the minimum requirements for dignified living for families who will be accommodated there.
In parallel, the Egyptian Committee’s field teams have begun laying out and erecting tents in accordance with a carefully developed plan, in preparation for receiving beneficiary families during the upcoming phase. Work will continue progressively to complete the remaining facilities and essential services within the camp.
The Egyptian Committee affirmed that the preparation of the Netzarim camp forms part of an integrated relief and shelter plan designed to respond to the growing needs of affected families in the Gaza Strip. It stressed that field operations will continue at an accelerated pace, despite challenges, to ensure rapid completion and full readiness of the camp at the earliest possible time.
