As part of the ongoing Egyptian humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, the Egyptian Committee for Relief and Support of the Palestinian People held a meeting today with community elders (mukhtars) in Gaza City, as part of the activities of the “Hearts Beyond Borders” campaign, which continues its operations to distribute food and relief aid across various areas of the Gaza Strip.
The meeting aimed to organize and coordinate the mechanism for distributing aid packages and humanitarian assistance to affected families, ensuring fairness and transparency in reaching those most in need.
During the meeting, it was agreed that each mukhtar would act as a direct supervisor for volunteers working in his area, facilitating their tasks and ensuring that aid reaches the targeted families.
It was also emphasized that the delivery process will be carried out according to official, approved lists containing the names of beneficiaries, which will be signed by both the mukhtar and the volunteer to ensure accuracy and transparency in the procedures.
Representatives of the Egyptian Committee affirmed that this field coordination comes as part of expanding the scope of the “Hearts Beyond Borders” campaign in Gaza City and continuing the work in a spirit of cooperation and partnership between the teams and the local community.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the importance of unifying efforts and joint action to ensure that Egyptian aid reaches every family in need—embodying the spirit of brotherhood and solidarity between the Egyptian and Palestinian peoples.
