As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, the Egyptian Committee for Humanitarian Relief to the Palestinian People convened with local community elders (mukhtars) in Gaza City to coordinate relief operations. This engagement forms part of the Committee’s large-scale “Hearts Across Borders” campaign, which continues to deliver critical food and relief assistance across the Gaza Strip.
The meeting aimed at organizing and coordinating aid distribution mechanisms to ensure equitable and transparent delivery to the most vulnerable households.
It was agreed that each local community elder (mukhtar) will serve as a direct supervisor in their respective area, facilitating volunteers’ work and ensuring that assistance reaches the targeted families efficiently and without delay.
The Committee further emphasized that aid distribution will follow official, verified beneficiary lists, endorsed by local community elders and volunteers, guaranteeing accuracy, accountability, and full transparency throughout the process.
Representatives of the Egyptian Committee stressed that this field coordination forms part of the expanded implementation of the “Hearts Across Borders” campaign in Gaza City, highlighting the continued spirit of collaboration and synergy between the Committee’s teams and local community leaders.
The meeting concluded by underscoring the importance of unified, coordinated efforts to ensure the delivery of Egyptian support to every household in need, reflecting the enduring spirit of solidarity and brotherhood between the Egyptian and Palestinian people.
