As part of the ongoing efforts by the Egyptian Committee to provide relief and support to the Palestinian people, the Committee today announced the launch of a major humanitarian campaign titled “Hearts Beyond Borders”, in what is the largest initiative since the Committee began its work within the Gaza Strip. The campaign aims to meet the needs of tens of thousands of affected families across various areas of Gaza.
The campaign began in the Palestinian city of Rafah on the Egyptian border, where Egyptian field teams, in cooperation with local municipalities and the heads of Palestinian families, started distributing over 55,000 comprehensive food parcels containing essential items for needy families.
The Egyptian Committee confirmed that the distribution operations in Rafah represent the first phase of a comprehensive plan extending to cover all governorates of the Gaza Strip, from south to north. This plan also includes distributing new shelter tents, mattresses, winter blankets, and hygiene parcels with disinfectants to ensure the protection of displaced families as winter approaches.
The official spokesperson for the Committee noted that the campaign reflects the directives of the Egyptian leadership, which emphasized the continuation of comprehensive humanitarian support for the people of Gaza, ensuring that aid reaches every affected family directly and systematically through a precise distribution mechanism based on local committee records and family heads, to guarantee fairness and transparency.
The Egyptian Committee continues its field work day and night inside the camps and affected areas, in coordination with international institutions and humanitarian organizations, to meet urgent needs in food, shelter, and health, within a comprehensive vision that places the Palestinian people at the heart of Egypt’s priorities.
