The Egyptian Committee for Humanitarian Relief and Support for the Palestinian People continues its field operations in Rafah Governorate for a second consecutive day, as part of its large-scale humanitarian initiative, “Hearts Across Borders” The campaign seeks to alleviate the hardships of affected households and ensure the provision of essential assistance throughout the Gaza Strip.
On the second day of its humanitarian campaign, the Egyptian Committee’s field teams significantly scaled up operations, distributing thousands of comprehensive food parcels and medical kits across 17 primary distribution centres in Rafah. The teams operated at a continuous, high-paced rhythm to ensure timely, equitable, and life-saving assistance reaches the largest possible number of households in need.
Distribution operations are being carried out in close coordination with local Palestinian community elders (mukhtars), with each elder overseeing the receipt and direct delivery of aid parcels to their respective households. This mechanism ensures transparency, fairness, and accountability in the distribution process, under the direct field supervision of representatives from the Egyptian Committee.
The Egyptian Committee confirmed that the current phase of its “Hearts Across Borders” campaign is rapidly expanding its field operations to new areas within Rafah, setting the stage for an imminent rollout to additional governorates. This initiative underscores Egypt’s steadfast humanitarian commitment to the Palestinian people, aiming to alleviate their suffering and provide critical support amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
The campaign, titled “Hearts Across Borders” embodies the deep solidarity between the Egyptian and Palestinian people, serving as a message of compassion and support from Egypt to Gaza. It reflects Cairo’s enduring commitment to stand alongside the Palestinian people in all circumstances.
